LAS PALMERAS
LOCATION: Limón Costa Rica | AREA: 425Sq. m.
YEAR: 2023 | STATUS: Schematic Design
This project aims to integrate two commercial spaces, a storage warehouse, and three apartments, taking advantage of the natural conditions of the terrain and the surrounding climate harmoniously and functionally.
To achieve this, a layout prioritizing comfort and efficiency has been considered. The commercial spaces are located on the ground floor, featuring a modular and flexible design to cater to diverse commercial needs. The facade, aside from being attractive, is designed to catch the attention of passersby and reflect the businesses' identities and to protect it from direct solar heat with a group of vertical louvers and vegetation.
The storage warehouse is strategically positioned to facilitate the logistics of loading and unloading. Meanwhile, the apartments, situated on the second level, maximize natural light and airflow to reduce dependence on artificial energy and climate control systems. Balconies are integrated to offer outdoor spaces for enjoying the pleasant views and climate of the surroundings.
The overall project design is grounded in bioclimatic architecture, emphasizing the terrain orientation to optimize natural light and cross ventilation. Consideration has been given to the surrounding vegetation, providing both solar protection and decorative elements.
In summary, this architectural project seamlessly integrates into its environment, making the most of natural conditions for the benefit of both businesses and residents.
